Our Cars Are Prepared Precisely & Protected Properly

Once you have viewed and test driven the vehicle and chosen to proceed, the full balance is payable prior to or at the point of collection.

Legal ownership and physical handover of the vehicle take place only once the full outstanding balance has been received and cleared.

Before purchase, you will have the opportunity to view and test drive the vehicle. By proceeding with the purchase, you confirm that you are satisfied with the vehicle’s general condition, age, mileage and presentation, taking into account that it is a used vehicle.

The vehicle is sold in its current condition, subject to:

• Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015
• The warranty provided by Ocean Road Autos

From the point of ownership, you are responsible for routine servicing, maintenance, wear and tear items, insurance, road tax and any repairs not covered under warranty.

Every vehicle includes a 3 month warranty from the date of sale for added peace of mind.

This warranty covers major mechanical failure of the engine and gearbox only.

The warranty does not cover:

• Wear and tear items including but not limited to clutch components, brakes, tyres, suspension, exhaust, bulbs, batteries, belts, hoses or fluids
• Electrical faults not directly related to engine or gearbox failure
• Faults arising from misuse, neglect, modification or continued driving after a fault becomes apparent
• Routine servicing or consumable items

Any quality concerns must be reported to Ocean Road Autos within 30 days of the date of sale and as soon as reasonably practicable after the issue becomes apparent.

No repairs may be carried out without prior authorisation from Ocean Road Autos.

Ocean Road Autos is a trader selling vehicles in the course of business. All sales are governed by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Under this legislation, at the point of sale the vehicle must:

• Be of satisfactory quality, taking into account its age, mileage, price and history
• Be fit for purpose
• Match its description

These statutory rights cannot be excluded or limited.

If a fault was present at the time of sale, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund in line with the Act.

Faults arising due to normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage or issues that develop after the point of sale are not covered by the Act.

Where a deposit is taken, it confirms your intention to proceed and secures the vehicle pending payment of the remaining balance.

The agreement becomes legally binding once cleared payment for the vehicle has been received.

If you decide to withdraw after the agreement becomes active, the deposit may be retained to cover administrative costs and potential loss of sale.

By paying either a deposit or the full purchase price, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, including details of any warranty provided, our voluntary return policy, and your statutory consumer rights under applicable UK consumer law.

To reserve a vehicle from our stock, a non-refundable deposit of £500 is required. The remaining balance must be paid in full, and the vehicle must be collected within 10 working days of the deposit being received, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If the vehicle is not collected within this timeframe, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation and re-advertise the vehicle for sale. As deposits contribute towards administration, preparation, storage, and advertising costs associated with removing the vehicle from the market, deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation, non-collection, or failure to complete the purchase.

Where a genuine mechanical concern arises following purchase, Ocean Road Autos may agree to repurchase the vehicle at its sole discretion. No obligation to repurchase exists unless an agreement is reached in writing between both parties.

To be considered for a buy-back, all of the following conditions must be met:

• The concern must be mechanical in nature and must relate to a fault that was present at the point of sale, not arising from the buyer's use, neglect, accidental damage, or modification
• The fault must be documented in a written report produced by a VAT-registered garage or qualified independent mechanic, confirming the nature of the fault and, in their professional opinion, that it is likely to have been pre-existing at the point of sale
• The concern must be raised with Ocean Road Autos within 30 days of the date of sale
• The recorded mileage at the time the concern is raised must not exceed 500 miles above the odometer reading recorded at the point of sale

Where these conditions are met and both parties agree in writing to proceed, the repurchase price will be calculated as follows:

• The original sale price, less a deep valet and preparation charge of £75
• Less a usage charge of £0.40 per mile for every mile covered since the recorded odometer reading at the point of sale

The mileage at the time of return will be verified against the recorded sale mileage to calculate the usage charge. Both deductions will be applied to the original sale price to determine the final buy-back amount payable to the buyer.

The cost of any independent inspection report is to be met by the buyer in the first instance. Where a buy-back is agreed and completed, Ocean Road Autos will reimburse reasonable inspection costs up to £60, provided an original receipt or invoice is supplied.

The vehicle must be returned in a condition consistent with normal use. Ocean Road Autos reserves the right to carry out its own inspection prior to completing any repurchase. The vehicle must be returned with all keys, documentation and accessories supplied at the point of sale. Any new damage, modifications, or missing items identified at the point of return may be taken into account when calculating the final buy-back amount.

This voluntary buy-back arrangement operates alongside the warranty provided in Section 3 and does not replace or circumvent it. Where a fault falls within the scope of the Section 3 warranty, the warranty process — including the requirement for prior authorisation before any repairs are carried out — must be followed before a buy-back can be considered.

This arrangement does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, as outlined in Section 4 above.
