At Ocean Road Autos, we believe buying a used car should feel exciting, not uncertain.

Every vehicle on our forecourt is carefully selected, professionally prepared, fully checked and serviced where required before it is advertised for sale. Each car is valeted to a high standard and inspected so it is ready to be driven away with confidence.

Our aim is simple. To provide real value, be transparent at every stage, and make sure you drive away happy with many miles of enjoyable motoring ahead.

To give you additional reassurance, every vehicle includes the warranty and protections outlined below.

Warranty Terms

1. Purchase and Transfer of Ownership

Once you have viewed and test driven the vehicle and chosen to proceed, the full balance is payable prior to or at the point of collection.

Legal ownership and physical handover of the vehicle take place only once the full outstanding balance has been received and cleared.

2. Customer Confirmation

Before purchase, you will have the opportunity to view and test drive the vehicle. By proceeding with the purchase, you confirm that you are satisfied with the vehicle’s general condition, age, mileage and presentation, taking into account that it is a used vehicle.

The vehicle is sold in its current condition, subject to:

From the point of ownership, you are responsible for routine servicing, maintenance, wear and tear items, insurance, road tax and any repairs not covered under warranty.

3. Warranty Provided by Ocean Road Autos

Every vehicle includes a 3 month warranty from the date of sale for added peace of mind.

This warranty covers major mechanical failure of the engine and gearbox only.

The warranty does not cover:

Wear and tear items including but not limited to clutch components, brakes, tyres, suspension, exhaust, bulbs, batteries, belts, hoses or fluids
Electrical faults not directly related to engine or gearbox failure
Faults arising from misuse, neglect, modification or continued driving after a fault becomes apparent
Routine servicing or consumable items

Any quality concerns must be reported to Ocean Road Autos within 30 days of the date of sale and as soon as reasonably practicable after the issue becomes apparent.

No repairs may be carried out without prior authorisation from Ocean Road Autos.

4. Your Rights Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015

Ocean Road Autos is a trader selling vehicles in the course of business. All sales are governed by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Under this legislation, at the point of sale the vehicle must:

Be of satisfactory quality, taking into account its age, mileage, price and history
Be fit for purpose
Match its description

These statutory rights cannot be excluded or limited.

If a fault was present at the time of sale, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund in line with the Act.

Faults arising due to normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage or issues that develop after the point of sale are not covered by the Act.

5. Deposits and Agreement Activation

Where a deposit is taken, it confirms your intention to proceed and secures the vehicle pending payment of the remaining balance.

The agreement becomes legally binding once cleared payment for the vehicle has been received.

If you decide to withdraw after the agreement becomes active, the deposit may be retained to cover administrative costs and potential loss of sale.

6. Acceptance of Terms

Payment of a deposit or the full purchase price confirms that you have read, understood and accepted these terms, including the warranty coverage, voluntary return policy and your statutory consumer rights.
